Alligator Point
Alligator Point is a town in Franklin County, Florida, United States. It is located along US 98, on the western shore of Dickerson Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico.
Often referred to as the ‘Big Bend’ area of Florida, Alligator Point is a small community situated along the Gulf of Mexico.Located 45 miles south of Tallahassee, Alligator Point is part of ‘The Forgotten Coast’ on north Florida. With a virgin coastline of 50 miles and the lure of a destination untouched by commercialization, makes Alligator Point a much sought after retreat by those looking for a secluded hideaway. The beaches offer a host of outdoor activities such as walking, jogging,swimming and beachcombing. Fishing off Alligator Point is also outstanding, either deep-sea or right off the beach. The nearby Wakulla River offers canoe rentals as well. Situated on Alligator Point, Bald Point State Park offers recreational fun such as swimming; picnicking, kayaking, wind surfing and wildlife viewing. In spring, the park is full of beautiful
wildflowers, and in autumn, the Monarch butterflies pause at Bald Point before making their long journey across the Gulf.
